WINGS

It is not just about raising awareness: it is about making a change. This change begins where waste and art meet, interact and unite, giving birth to a new entity.

The artwork "Wings", fruit of this new encounter between two very different natures, stands as an ode to sustainability understood as a second chance. The idea is strongly expressed in the fact that the metal parts incorporated in the work were found in a junkyard, and transformed, re-signified, to form something bigger. The structures of the wings were part of angels that have graced Buenos Aires' "Avenida De Mayo", and the wood is made of camphor heart. A unique and singular union, in which the coexistence of the discrepancies between the materials creates the artwork.
