SYMPHONY OF THE PUNA
In collaboration with Warmi and Pía Magri Consulting
“Symphony of the Puna” is composed of a sound art piece and a wall sculpture, inspired by the nature of the Puna and WARMI’s tradition. The work features a unique composition built from abstract sounds native to the territory — the wind, Warmi’s weaving machine, the expressions of local fauna. These melodies intertwine in unique ways, creating new combinations that resonate in our minds, triggering memories and evoking moments of connection with nature. They give us goosebumps; they connect us with the landscape.
At first, a series of sounds from the surrounding environment is collected. The artist records each sound while carefully documenting its time and place of capture. Then, through audio-editing software, Englebert imprints her vision, combining these sounds into unprecedented melodies that generate new imaginaries of space and time — as each melody is composed of sounds gathered from different territories, in different moments, united in a new situation.
Once these unique symphonies are created, the artist both mints them as NFTs and translates them into tangible matter, creating sculptures in metal and Warmi weavings. These works allow nature to inhabit the home, achieving a synergy between experience and lived space.
Hearing is one of the senses that builds brain connections with the greatest emotional weight, linking sounds to memories that have left a profound imprint on our being. Thus, the simple act of listening to certain sound waves can evoke powerful memories and emotions in the viewer. Deeply personal, the associations between sound and emotional memory move us, leading each spectator to interpret every work in this series in a unique way. At the same time, the choice to work with sound relates strongly to Englebert’s research into the intersection between art and biology — an inquiry into the brain’s connections and the stimuli that trigger physiological and psychological responses.

WARMI
The piece is defined by a synergy between two materials.
On one hand, the work is created in collaboration with Warmi, a social enterprise that embodies the essence of the Argentine Puna through artisanal textiles and ancestral techniques using locally sourced materials.
Warmi’s weaving becomes a central element in the piece, reflecting the organic quality, warmth, and artisanal skill of the Puna.
In contrast, metal appears with its solidity, coolness, and solemnity — enhancing and complementing the textile in a kind of symbiotic dance. The fusion of these contrasting qualities gives rise to an integrated harmony.

TROPICAL SYMPHONIES
“TROPICAL SYMPHONIES” is a series of works, each one consisting of a sound art piece and a wall culture. At first, the artist collects a series of sounds from the surrounding environment that generate an impact on her. In this way, she records audios and documents time and space of each sound. Then, through audio editing software, Englebert imprints her vision, combining these sounds in unique melodies, creating new imaginaries of space and time, since each melody is made up of sounds collected in different territories, at different times, combined in a new situation conjugated by Englebert.
Once these unique tropical symphonies have been created, the artist, on the one hand, mints them in an NFT, and on the other hand, translates them into tangible matter, creating metal sculptures that draw the combination of sound waves of each symphony. These works allow nature to inhabit one’ s home,
achieving a synergy between experience and lived space.

The song of a particular species of bird transports us to childhood gardens, the sound of the sea takes us to moments of leisure and friendship enjoying the sun, the noise of cars traveling on the highway brings us back to times of living in particular areas of the city. Deeply personal, the associations of a sound to
an emotional memory mobilize us and lead us to interpret each work in this series in a different way. In turn, the choice of working with sounds has a strong
relationship with Englebert’s research on the intertwining of the fields of art and biology, involving an inquiry into brain connections and the stimuli that trigger physiological and psychic responses.

SYMPHONY IN FAMILY KEY
"Symphony in Family Key" is a work that symbolizes an ode to the freedom of choosing one another once again — an emblem of a renewed commitment. The artist creates a visual, spatial, and sonic metaphor that builds the story of a bond that has evolved over twenty-five years, passing through moments of great splendor and times of difficulty, yet always growing stronger.
The piece is composed of the combination of three sound waves that form a new and unique symphony — a weave of these sensitive melodies. Melodies that evoke memories and sensations, that give goosebumps, that recall moments of connection and expressions of love.
Rendered in form and matter, the murmur of the Caribbean Sea’s waves appears in one of the sound waves, giving substance to this body of water that carries so much weight in their shared story. The sea is an entity of calm character, yet one that can also become stormy. There are different stages in life: with time and maturity, a couple experiences moments of calm, but also periods of turbulence. In each circumstance, one and the other grow stronger, working so that serenity returns after the storm.
A second wave traces the combination of the heartbeats of the couple’s three children, embodying creation as the fruit of a shared life. The third sound wave refers to the musical notes of the song “Alegría”, the one chosen for their wedding entrance — the moment that marked the beginning of this chosen commitment.
By combining and editing these sounds, Isabel Englebert creates new auditory experiences that envelop the viewer and connect them with lived experiences. Hearing is one of the senses that forms brain connections with the greatest emotional charge, linking sounds to memories that have left a profound imprint on our being.

The final work consists of two parts. On one hand, the audio is represented in NFT format, creating a unique and authentic piece permanently stored on the blockchain. On the other, the artist translates these sounds into tangible matter, creating a wall sculpture in metal that traces the combination of the sound waves of the symphony.
The word symphony comes from Greek and means harmony of sounds, consonance. In a broader sense, it means “to sound together,” which makes it the ideal title for this work that seeks to embody each of the two intertwined souls. Two different people, each with their own paths, desires, decisions, and essence — yet moving together, drawing in space a journey of ascents and descents, always complementary, completed only by the undeniable presence of both elements. A journey that can continue infinitely, in this unique and harmonious dance.
